Getting started
How do I add my first habit?
Tap the + button on the home screen or the Habit Map. Give your habit a name, choose an emoji, set a schedule, and tap Save. Your habit will appear on the map immediately.
What is the Habit Map?
The Habit Map is HabitForm's signature view — a freeform canvas where you can see all your habits at once, arrange them spatially, and draw links between habits that trigger each other. It turns your routine into a visual system rather than a plain list.
Is HabitForm free?
Yes. You can track habits, use the Habit Map, and view your streaks completely free. A premium plan unlocks additional features such as advanced insights, custom themes, and unlimited reminders.
Which platforms is HabitForm available on?
HabitForm is available for iPhone and iPad (iOS 16+) and Android (8.0+). Download it from the App Store or Google Play.
Habits & tracking
How do I complete a habit for today?
Tap the habit node on the Habit Map or the checkmark next to it in the list view. Completed habits are marked immediately and your streak updates in real time.
Can I track a habit multiple times per day?
Yes. When creating or editing a habit, set the frequency to Multiple times a day and choose a count target. Each completion is logged separately.
How do I edit or delete a habit?
Long-press the habit on the map, or tap it to open the detail view and use the edit (pencil) icon. To delete, scroll to the bottom of the edit screen and tap Delete Habit.
What does the Habit Probability score mean?
The probability score predicts how likely a habit is to become automatic based on your consistency, streak length, and schedule adherence. A score above 80% generally means the habit is well-established. It updates every day based on your recent behavior.
Reminders
How do I set a reminder for a habit?
Open the habit's edit screen and tap Add Reminder. Choose the days and time. You can add multiple reminders per habit for different days or times of day.
I'm not receiving notifications. What should I check?
Go to your device's Settings → Notifications → HabitForm and make sure notifications are enabled. Also verify that Do Not Focus / Do Not Disturb is not blocking them at your scheduled times.
Can I silence reminders for a specific day?
Yes. Edit the habit, go to Reminders, and toggle off the days you want to skip. Your streak won't be affected for days that aren't scheduled.
Streaks & history
I missed a day — will I lose my streak?
Missing a day breaks your active streak. However, HabitForm allows one streak recovery per week — open the habit, tap the missed day in the calendar, and choose Recover. This reflects the real science: one slip doesn't undo your progress.
How do I view my past history?
Tap any habit to open its detail view. Scroll down to the calendar — completed days are highlighted. Tap any day to see what was logged.
Can I log a habit for a past date?
Yes. Open the habit detail, tap the day in the calendar that you want to retroactively log, and mark it complete. Retroactive entries count toward your history but are flagged so your streak remains accurate.
Account & data
Do I need an account to use HabitForm?
No account is required to get started. Your habits are stored locally on your device. Creating an account (optional) enables cloud backup and sync across devices.
How do I back up or export my data?
Go to Settings → Data & Backup. You can export all your habit data as a JSON file, or enable cloud sync if you have an account.
How do I delete my account and data?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data from our servers. Alternatively, email us at support@habitform.app with the subject line "Delete my account" and we'll process it within 30 days.
Billing & premium
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to Settings → Premium → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same App Store or Google Play account that made the original purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by HabitForm directly. On iPhone: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep premium access until the end of the paid period.
I was charged but premium isn't active. What do I do?
First try Restore Purchases in the app (see above). If that doesn't work, email support@habitform.app with your order number and we'll sort it out promptly.
Feedback & bugs
How do I report a bug?
Email support@habitform.app with a short description of what happened, your device model, and iOS/Android version. Screenshots or screen recordings are always helpful.
Where can I suggest a new feature?
We'd love to hear it. Send your idea to support@habitform.app with the subject "Feature idea". We read every suggestion — some of our best features came from user requests.
How do I leave a review on the App Store?
Reviews genuinely help us. You can leave one directly in the app under Settings → Rate HabitForm, or visit the App Store page.
